Her works range from representational to impressionistic and abstract. Landscapes, particularly rivers, marshes and swamps, are a favorite theme. Gardens are another, and at times she incorporates writings from her journals into her paintings of sunflowers, delphiniums, poppies, and garden landscapes. Laurette's work has been widely exhibited. Her drawings, paintings and sculpture are featured in many private collections, including those in Amsterdam, New York, Chicago and Boston. She and her husband, artist-naturalist David Carroll, have lived in Warner, New Hampshire since 1969.
